Welcome to our retreat. If you are looking for peace and serenity you will be well served here at this lovely property. This home and all the additional buildings were built in 1964 by my father Harry C. Knight. He came to Hemingford, NE by way of the oilfield and started a men’s clothing store and a dry-cleaners in the center of town. It is at this dry-cleaning store that he met my mother Nancy Roth. They were married shortly after in 1956.  They built the farm house and out buildings in 1964. There was a barn that sat in the southeast corner of the property that was used for milking dairy cattle and then selling the cream to the stores. It was removed in the 90’s so that additional wheat could be planted. In 1965 my father Harry Knight was hurt in a serious accident at the grain elevators northwest of Hemingford. This accident lead to them selling the farm to Nancy’s parents, Chuck and Velia Roth. They would farm and live on the property the rest of their lives. Chuck passed in 1994 and Velia passed in 1995. The property was willed back to their daughter Nancy. She used the property as a summer home until she passed in 2015. The property was then willed to the last living heir Terry Knight. After careful thought and prayer my wife Susan and I decided to share this “Beautiful and Amazing” property with others as they travel this beautiful and historic Mid-West part of the United States. My wife Susan and I live in Houston, Texas. We travel several times every year to the farm. We have made many amazing and loving memories at our farm over the years. We have found a place that we can find peace, serenity and gratitude and get closer to God……

We hope that you will enjoy this fabulous place I consider a retreat. May you find peace and relaxation during your stay with us.
